Dear Current Residents,
It’s almost time to start packing again as this school year is ending. It has been a pleasure serving you this year and we look forward to making your move-out as smooth as possible! For your convenience, we will start conducting move-out inspections beginning May 4, 2026.
To better serve our residents, we are offering to extend the move-out inspection day through May 10, 2026 for apartments that have students graduating only. Sunday appointment availability is not guaranteed. In order to get a move-out extension you must provide proof of graduation or proof of a final(s). Remember, personalized move-out appointments are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please schedule your inspection as soon as possible.
April 15th – April 17th: Schedule your Move-Out Inspection in-person in our office from 9:00 A.M – 1:00 PM. Please only designate ONE roommate to visit us on these days to schedule the apartment move-out inspection appointment.
The move-out inspection will be done when the last person moves out and the unit is empty between 5/4/2026 – 5/10/2026. Please take these steps to make the move-out process as smooth as possible…
- Communicate with roommates and decide who will be the last person to move out.
- Select a date/time that works best for all.
- Schedule a Move-Out Inspection time in our office between April 15th-17th. During the inspection date/time keys are collected, and you are presented with your inspection results. No residents need to be physically present at the inspection, but it’s always recommended. Deposit return summaries will be itemized and issued to all residents within 30 days of the inspection, via the First Site resident portal.
**Move-Out inspections will take 20-30 minutes, and all personal belongings must be out of the apartment during this appointment time unless a roommates re-signed.
April 18, 2026: First Site will assign a time for any apartments which did not schedule a move-out inspection.
How do I prepare my apartment for inspection? Below you will find a move-out preparation checklist with instructions, what out inspectors will look for, cost for damages, cleaning, etc. This year more than ever please make sure you follow the instructions in this checklist as pricing from our vendors (specifically cleaning) have increased due to recent inflation and lack of current labor force.
Did you re-sign your lease to stay in the same apartment? Unless ALL current occupants are staying in the same apartment, we still need to preform a Move-Out inspection with the roommates who are moving out. The last roommate to move out should schedule an appointment in-office by April 17th to set-up a move-out inspection.
